The Crystal Ballroom at Somerville Theatre is the exciting new live event destination in vibrant Davis Square. It is available to rent for a wide range of events that you may plan.
This beautifully renovated ballroom, complete with bar, lounge, lobbies, and restrooms, is located in the historic Hobbs Building, home of the Somerville Theatre. With a capacity of 500 patrons it can host a variety of standing room or seated event options. And with a state-of-the-art concert audio and lighting system, the Crystal Ballroom at Somerville Theatre is your venue for a successful and memorable event.
The elevated stage is approximately 24’ wide by 15’ deep with an adjacent, private green room. Adjoining the ballroom is our inviting lounge with a full-service bar and additional seating. An in-house audio and lighting system is included in all rentals, along with the services of our Technical Director.
Our space is perfect for live performances – music, comedy, burlesque, community theatre – plus speaking engagements, film festivals, and more.
The ballroom is an ideal location for weddings and special occasions with multiple layout options, a kitchen space available for approved caterers, and eye-catching views of Davis Square.
